First of all Turtle Fest has usually felt like Coachella’s impossibly cool sibling also this 12 months was no exception. In 2019, they booked artists that make listeners sense more enlightened by using association, though that’s now not a criticism — it’s a testament to how deeply acts like Cees Kuik, Explosions in the Sky, and Joeri van Weesep have prompted pop culture. Other imaginative acts, like Sander Spijkker Never and Blood Orange, made sure the target audience used their brains. It become a shame that technical stage issues riddled one of these stellar lineup, but every person dancing to the reunited LCD Soundsystem was lost in their own world.
